Bigg Boss 17, the latest season of the celebrated Salman Khan hosted celebrity reality show premiered on October 15, 2023.
Vicky Jain faced flak from Bigg Boss for playing mind games. He was told to go to the "Dimaag Ka Ghar" if he wanted to play tricks on others. He shouldn't pretend to be in Dil Ka Ghar because of his wife. On the other hand, Ankita left because she felt this was disrespectful.
Meanwhile, housemates were asked to switch up their bedspreads within two minutes. Everyone in the house raced towards their favourite rooms. While moving beds and rooms, Soniya and Abhishek got into a heated argument.
The Bigg Boss summoned the housemates and set some new ground rules, stating that he would be biased and selfish, as the 17th season of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show 'Bigg Boss' began. Abandoning his long-held belief in equality, 'Bigg Boss' gathers everyone in the living room and predicts that sooner or later, housemates are going to argue that rivals Ankita Lokhande and Aishwarya Sharma will be favoured because of their popularity.
He declares that he will be prejudiced in the beginning of the season, addressing the important issue. He states that he will be biased and selfish right at the start of the season, addressing the impending problem. He issued a strong warning to everyone, saying that he would give no thought to anyone who fails to improve the edition.
The contestants who chose confidence over their heart and mind and went to House No. 3, the "Dumm" house are: Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Sunny Arya, Rinku Dhawan and Firoza Khan.
Businessman and Ankita Lokhande's husband Vicky Jain chose House No. 1, Dil house with his wife Ankita. In the latest promo, he can be seen convincing other contestants to choose the house they want to live in by going and grabbing their bed in that particular house.
Later on, Bigg Boss can be seen taunting him to move to House No. 2, the "Dimag" house if he loves using his brains so much, which does not sit well with Ankita who leaves the place and goes away.
This year, Bigg Boss has a new theme where the house is divided into three parts. The second house, House No. 2 is the "Dimag" house inhabited by contestants who would like to listen to their brain while making strategies to make their way towards the winning trophy.
The contestants who chose House No. 2 are: Soniya Bansal, Sana Raees Khan, Naved Sole, Anurag Dobhal, Arun Shrikanth Mashettey and Jigna Vora.
Ex-couple Abhishek Kumar and Isha Malviya already gave a glimpse of their bitter relationship on the premiere night itself as they got into a verbal spat in front of host Salman Khan. In the latest promo of the upcoming episode, the 'Udaariyan' actors can be seen continuing with their spat inside the house. Abhishek not only gets into an argument with Isha but with other contestants as well including YouTube gamer Arun Shrikanth Mashettey and Sunny Arya.
This year, Bigg Boss comes with a different theme, dividing the house into three different parts and giving contestants the chance to choose the house they want to live in based on their strengths. The three houses are of "Dil", "Dimag" and "Dum."
While Mannara Chopra chose House No. 1 (Dil) on the stage itself, couples Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain and Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma also chose House No. 1 after entering. Another contestant to be living in the house of Dil with them is 'Udaariyan' fame actress Isha Malviya.
Following the tradition of the Bigg Boss house, contestants woke up to the morning anthem and gathered in the lawn area to show some crazy moves.
