The Valley is witnessing a multi-pronged contest with legacy parties National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slogging against newer players and Independents.
On Wednesday, Jammu & Kashmir will vote in the first phase of its three-phase assembly elections. The result of the election, J&K’s first in 10 years, will be declared on October 8.
