The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is to hold a crucial meeting today, July 18, in what is being seen as a prominent display of power by the ruling coalition. This gathering coincides with an opposition party get-together in Bengaluru, as both sides gear up for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.


The NDA meeting, scheduled to take place in Delhi, will witness the participation of both existing and potential BJP allies, emphasizing the ruling party's endeavours to form new partnerships and reconcile with former allies who had previously departed from the coalition. On the eve of the NDA meeting, Party President JP Nadda in a press conference announced 38 parties confirmed their participation for the meet.


In recent times, the BJP has successfully forged alliances with various parties, including the Shiv Sena, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar, the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) led by O P Rajbhar in Uttar Pradesh, as well as the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) led by Jitan Ram Manjhi and the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) led by Upendra Kushwala.
