Election Commission of India revises the date of polling in Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency (J&K). Polling to now be held on 25th May instead of 7th May, as notified earlier.

Telangana: Addressing a public rally in Zahirabad, PM Narendra Modi says, "They are trying to fool the country in the name of the Constitution. Till the time I am alive, I will not let them give the reservation meant for Dalits, SCs, STs, and OBCs to the Muslims in the name of religion."

After meeting with the Election Commission of India, AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj says, "We met the Election Commissioners and told them that BJP has been putting objectionable posters in the national capital. In these posters, opposition leaders are being shown in poor light. We asked them about the complaint filed by us and when action would be taken on it. EC said that it is not bound to answer our queries. EC is not ready to take action on the complaints."

Patna | RJD leader Rama Singh resigns from the party, says, "I resigned due to policies of Rashtriya Janata Dal. I served as an MLA and MP as well in the past. We saw a new young face, and we could see the possibility of a developed Bihar but in a short time only I realised the party's policies were against my own ideologies...I am in politics and naturally expect an MLA or MP election ticket. In the past, I have defeated many RJD leaders..I will give information on my future plan tomorrow."

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has filed his nomination from Hinjli assembly seat as Biju Janata Dal candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in a bid to retain office for a sixth consecutive term.
BJP candidate from New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Bansuri Swaraj filed her nomination. Union Minister and party leader Hardeep Singh Puri was also present.
A voter turnout of 16.68 per cent was recorded till 9 am at six polling stations where repolling is underway on Tuesday, election officials said.
Repolling is being conducted as unidentified persons had damaged the EVM and VVPATs before the completion of voting at four of these six polling stations on April 26. At one polling station, EVM malfunctioning was reported while voting could not be completed at another due to "threat and intimidation by unknown miscreants"
INDIA bloc ally Congress candidate from Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha seat, Varsha Gaikwad said the ongoing polls are a battle between two ideologies.
"This is a battle between two ideologies. The ideology that we follow is of 'Sarv Dharm Sambhaav'... The people are directly connecting with us. They think they can relate to us...," she said ahead of filing nomination.
"This is a battle for the identity of Mumbai. The people here will support those who unite rather than separate... The people of Maharashtra never support the traitors," said the Mumbai Congress chief.
Union Minister and BJP candidate from Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency, Piyush Goyal offered prayers at Shree Pushtipati Ganesh Temple ahead of filing nomination for the Lok Sabha polls.
"...Surat got MP when the election did not occur so as Indore, is more evidence required? Constitution runs through the narrative, there are provisions and one by one they are ending them," RJD MP Manoj Jha said.
"Is the meaning of free and neutral elections left? (Article 324), don't say that Rahul Gandhi is making allegations. This a bunch of thoughts they long to implement...," he added.
Telugu Desam Party candidate from Nellore Lok Sabha constituency, Ponguru Narayana held door-to-door campaign. "TDP has done a lot of work for the constituency in the past and people are appreciating this... We are going to win with a high majority...," he said.
Union minister and BJP candidate from Mumbai North, Piyush Goyal will file his nomination papers today while Mumbai Congress chief Varsha Gaikwad will file her candidature from Mumbai North Central.
In Delhi, BJP candidate from the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Bansuri Swaraj will submit her papers and Aam Aadmi Party candidate, Sahiram Pahalwan will file his nomination from the South Delhi constituency.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a whirlwind campaign tour today with public rallies scheduled in Maharashtra and Telangana.
He will address rallies in Maharashtra's Madha in Solapur district, Osmanabad, and Latur. Later in the day, he will attend a poll rally in Jahangirabad, in Telangana's Sangareddy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a whirlwind campaign tour today, with a series of public rallies scheduled in Maharashtra and Telangana, showcasing the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) bid for the upcoming elections.
Starting off in Maharashtra, PM Modi's schedule is packed with multiple rallies:
- At 11 a.m. in Madha, Solapur district.
- At 1 p.m. in Osmanabad.
- At 2:30 p.m. in Latur.
- And at 4:30 p.m. in Jahirabad, Sangareddy.
In Guwahati, Assam, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to address a press conference before heading to West Bengal for a public rally. The BJP's presence is robust with Shah's engagement scheduled for 10 a.m. at the State BJP Office in Guwahati.
Meanwhile, in West Bengal, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to address three rallies including in Baharampur at 12:20 p.m., in Birbhum at 1:45 p.m., and Asansol at 3:10 p.m. in Asansol.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address a public rally in Tikari, Badaun, in support of BJP candidate Gajendra Singh Patel at noon. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to address a rally in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, continuing the party's push in the state.
Lok Sabha Election Repolling In Manipur
The Election Commission has nullified the Lok Sabha elections conducted in six polling stations within the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency as fresh polling takes place today. On Friday, polling took place at 848 polling stations across the remaining 13 Assembly segments under the Outer Manipur Parliamentary seat. These segments were part of the second phase, while voting for the initial 15 Assembly segments occurred on April 19 along with the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat.
Manipur's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Pradeep Kumar Jha, referred to the Election Commission's directive, urging voters to turn out in large numbers for the fresh polling in these six stations on Tuesday, IANS reported. Officials cited various disturbances during the previous polling on Friday as the reason behind the Election Commission's decision to order fresh polling.
In the rest of the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, approximately 82 per cent of the around 4.85 lakh voters exercised their franchise on Friday. This constituency spans eight hilly districts, including Ukhrul, Kamjong, Tamenglong, Noney, Senapati, Jiribam, Pherzawl, and Tengnoupal.
