During a road show in Puducherry, BJP national president JP Nadda said, "I ask you- Isn't Rahul Gandhi out on bail? Isn't Sonia Gandhi out on bail? Isn't Chidambaram out on bail? Isn't Karti Chidambaram out on bail? Ins't Sanjay Singh out on bail? Isn't Kejriwal in jail? Isn't Manish Sisodia in jail? Isn't Satyendar Jain in jail? 'Aadhe jail mein hain, aadhe bail par hain'", reported ANI.
While addressing a public rally in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "BJP has done development in Tamil Nadu because it respects Tamil Nadu's heritage. Takes inspiration from it...BJP is working towards the dreams of politicians such as MGR", reported ANI.
Election Commission took to social media and posted on X, saying,"Polling teams along with EVMs and VVPATs enroute to four polling stations of Pipsorang Circle, Arunachal Pradesh on MI-172 choppers. The sorties mean they can avoid foot march and ensures that the team reaches their location along with election material safely." Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections will be held on 19th April, along with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024.
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Congress announced Mukesh Singh Chauhan as its candidate for bypolls to Lucknow East Assembly constituency, reported PTI.
While addressing a public gathering in Rajgarh, former MP CM and senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan, said, "What did you do (for Madhya Pradesh) when you (Digvijaya Singh) had everything? You only made Madhya Pradesh a 'bimaru' state", reported PTI
Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, addressing a public rally in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Your support is giving sleepless nights to DMK & INDIA alliance", reported ANI.
In an interview to ANI, PM Modi said, "I have big plans...kissi ko darne ki zaroorat nahin hai. My decisions are not made to scare anyone or to diminish anyone. They are made for the overall development of the country".
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "This time BJP is going to be wiped out. Farmers and youth are seen standing with the Samajwadi Party and the INDIA alliance...The identity of their government is loot and lies, apart from this they have no other identity", reported ANI.
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said, "If you want to protect the country's independence, then remove the BJP (from power), only then the country will remain independent. If this party wins the upcoming elections, there will be no elections in the country in future. This is an autocratic government. They want one leader, one nation, one 'Bhashan', one 'bhojan' in the country", reported ANI.
While Addressing a public rally in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "We have decided to provide free medical treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to senior citizens above 70 years of age. Also, around 10 crore women associated with the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be provided training in IT, health, tourism and retail sectors", reported ANI.

Lok Sabha Elections: Congress Nominees In Gujarat To File Nominations Between April 15-17
Congress candidates in Gujarat will file their nomination forms for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections between April 15 and 17.All 26 constituencies in Gujarat will vote on May 7 in the third phase of the general elections. Bypolls for five assembly segments are also scheduled to be held in the state on that day. The Congress has so far fielded candidates on 20 constituencies while nominees for four more seats are yet to be announced. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has declared candidates for two seats it will contest in alliance with Congress under the INDIA bloc. Senior leaders of Congress will accompany the candidates when they submit their nomination forms to the returning officers of the respective constituencies, as per a statement issued by the party.Gujarat Congress chief Shaktisinh Gohil, senior leaders Jagdish Thakor, Bharatsinh Solanki, Siddharth Patel, Amit Chavda, Rajya Sabha member Amiben Yagnik, among others, will remain present when the candidates submit nomination forms, it said.
Congress nominees for Banaskantha, Surendranagar, Jamnagar and Bardoli will file their nomination forms on April 15 and candidates for Kutch, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad West, Amreli, Chhotaudepur, Valsad, Panchmahal and Porbandar on Tuesday.Nomination forms for Patan, Junagadh, Anand, Kheda, Dahod, Vadodara and Surat will be submitted on Wednesday, the party said.
Shah To Address Election Rally In Manipur On April 15
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address an election rally in Manipur’s Imphal East district on April 15, a state BJP leader said on Friday.Shah will arrive at Imphal airport around 2 pm and will head to Hapta Kangjeibung in the district to attend the public meeting, Manipur BJP general secretary K Saratkumar Singh said.The home minister will later visit the party office here and depart for Delhi around 4.20 pm, he said.The Lok Sabha elections in the state will be held in two phases. Inner Manipur and parts of Outer Manipur will go to polls on April 19, while voting in the remaining areas of Outer Manipur will be held on April 26.The BJP has fielded state education minister Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh as its candidate for Inner Manipur, and announced its support for Naga People's Front nominee K Timothy Zimik in Outer Manipur.
