BJP leader Tarun Chugh said the party will form government in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand. "Early trends are indicating that BJP lead alliance will cross the 200 mark in Maharashtra. In Jharkhand, our alliance will form a full majority government. The public has given its blessings based on the work done by PM Modi and made it clear that they don't want 'tukde-tukde' gang parties which cause a divide in the society," he said.
The JMM alliance is again leading after trailing for around an hour, as per early trends.
Kalpana Soren, wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is trailing in the Gandey Assembly constituency. Kalpana is the sitting MLA from Gandey, having won the seat earlier this year in a bypoll necessitated by the resignation of JMM MLA Sarfaraz Ahmad.
After the first round of counting in the Seraikela Assembly constituency, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate Ganesh Mahali is leading. Ganesh Mahali has secured 794 votes in the first round, while former Chief Minister Champai Soren has received 559 votes.
The NDA has now touched the majority mark of 41 seats in Jharkhand, show the latest trends.
The JMM alliance is leading with 35+ seats in the 81-member assembly, as per early trends.

The early trends in Jharkhand showed BJP-led NDA leading on 20 seats, while the JMM-led INDIA bloc in Jharkhand led on 21 seats. Other smaller parties and independents were leading in 1 seat. Jharkhand has a total of 81 seats.
Congress leader Rakesh Sinha said, "The results will come in our favour. People have shown their support, love and blessings to the candidates of 'Mahaghathbandhan'. The public in Jharkhand has said that they are not going to accept people like those who raise slogans like 'Batoge toh Katoge'."
One counting centre each has been set up in all 24 districts. "All preparations have been made. The process has begun," state's Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said.

The ruling JMM in Jharkhand wrote to the Election Commission on Friday night and demanded the suspension of internet services within 2 km radius of the counting centres, alleging that the BJP has deputed "highly qualified" electronic experts from other states. The JMM also demanded a ban on electronic gadgets near the counting centres. The counting of votes for the 81-member Jharkhand assembly is scheduled on Saturday across 24 centres in the state.
BJP says it is confident that it will get a clear majority in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. "We are confident that as the counting progresses in Maharashtra and Jharkhand and results get stable, BJP-NDA's absolute majority government in both states. Under the leadership and vision of PM Narendra Modi, Maharashtra and Jharkhand will reject Rahul Gandhi's communal politics, divisive politics," BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said.
BJP candidate from Saraikela assembly constituency and former CM, Champai Soren had said "Exit polls are doing its job. We have gone to every Assembly constituency...corruption is at its peak, unemployed people are disappointed, students are disappointed so the change is ensured."
The Matrize survey has predicted that the BJP-led alliance will bag 42-47 seats, while the INDIA bloc will likely win 25-30 seats. The second and final phase of the Jharkhand Assembly election to decide the electoral fate of 528 candidates concluded on Wednesday, November 20. The first phase of which was held on November 13. Jharkhand recorded 67.63 percent in the second phase of polling, with the highest outcome in Jamtara and lowest in Bokaro.
Prominent candidates include Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren, and his sister-in-law Sita Soren from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Key Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the second phase include former CM Babulal Marandi, Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto (JMM), AJSU Party chief Sudesh Mahto, and Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri.
BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo said, "This morning has brought a new ray of hope to Jharkhand. There is great excitement among people. The end of the dark night of corruption, atrocities on women, loot and corruption for 5 years is near. The fog over governance for 5 years can be seen clearing up. I think this morning is important for Jharkhand in several ways and when the sun sets, it will be a political sunset for Soren dynasty. NDA will form the Government by winning the highest number of seats in the history of Jharkhand."
Former state Congress president Rajesh Thakur said the results of the work the Congress party did is going to be out. "The manner in which we worked for people, providing Old Pension Scheme for employees, waived off farm loans up to Rs 2 Lakhs, provided free electricity up to 200 units to the public, provided help to the elderly people through pension, honoured women through Maiya Samman Yojana. The stamp of approval by people on those schemes will reflect in the results. We believe that this day will decide the future of Jharkhand...We believe that we will form an even stronger government once again. We will take our schemes to the people for another five years," he said.

The state witnessed a fierce contest between the ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc, aiming to retain power, and the BJP-led NDA, seeking to wrest control. Prominent candidates include Babulal Marandi (BJP) contesting from Dhanwar and Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato (JMM) from Nala.
The BJP and its allies—AJSU Party, JD(U), and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)—fielded candidates in 81 seats, with BJP contesting 68. The INDIA bloc distributed its tickets among JMM (43), Congress (30), RJD (6), and CPI(ML) (4), with some friendly contests.
The NDA campaigned aggressively on allegations of corruption and infiltration, targeting the JMM-led government and its chief minister, who is currently out on bail. Meanwhile, the ruling alliance focused on welfare promises and criticized the BJP-led Centre for "weaponising" the ED and CBI against political rivals. Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused the BJP of spending over Rs 500 crore on "malicious campaigns" against him.
