Congress MLA Danish Abrar was shown black flags by a group of people and his vehicle was pelted with stones in Sawai Madhopur district on Monday.
Abrar is the sitting MLA from the Sawai Madhopur seat and the party has declared him its candidate from this seat for the upcoming election despite protests against him. The incident took place on Malarna Chaud bypass when Abrar was travelling with his mother and other family members.
BJP candidate Govind Singh Rajput files nomination papers from Surkhi seat for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls.
"Where did they (Chhattisgarh government) waive off the (farm) loans? They had announced it earlier also. The farm debts were at Rs 25,000 crore and Rs 9,000 crore of loans were written off," says BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal on CM Bhupesh Baghel's announcement to waive off farm loans if Congress retains power in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) fields party's Madhya Pradesh president Rani Agrawal as its candidate from Singrauli.
The Aam Aadmi Party has released its fourth list of candiates for the upcoming Chhattisgarh polls. The list with names of 12 candidates include Dev Ganesh Tekam (Samri-ST), Alexander (Lundra-ST), Munna Toppo (Sitapur-ST), Prakash Toppo (Jashpur-ST), Gopal Bapudia (Raigarh), Sobram Singh Saima (Pali-Tanakhar -ST), Parmeshwar Prasad Sandey (Janjgir-Champa), Neelam Dhruv (Khallari), Santosh Yadu (Baloda Bazar), Vijay Gurubaxani (Raipur North), Parmanand Jangde (Arang-SC) and Bhagirathi Manjhi (Bindranawagarh-ST).
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed the BJP for revoking the suspension of its Telangana MLA T Raja Singh, against whom the party had initiated action last year for his alleged derogatory comments on the prophet Mohammed.
On the second list of Congress for assembly elections, Rajasthan Minister and Congress Candidate from Dausa, Murari Lal Meena says, "The party has trusted me... It would be a matter of joy that I have reached their expectations... Our workers are enthusiastic... We will win Dausa Vidhan Sabha seat with a huge margin..."
On AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas says, "It (AIMIM) is BJP's B team. They are coming again and again to make the BJP win but they will not get votes because the voter knows that they do not have to divide their votes... In Jaipur, we won 5 seats out of 8, this time our target is 8 out of 8."
On the Rajasthan Assembly elections, State Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas says, "It was already decided (getting ticket) but the decision of when the list will be released and at what time is decided by the party. We will be contesting the elections based on Rama Rajya. We have worked for the welfare & development...We will contest on the basis of our work and will win from the Civil Lines assembly constituency and will form the government in Rajasthan as well..."
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal says, "The biggest patriotism will be to remove BJP from power in 2024. They had got a historic majority in 2014 and 2019 if they wanted, they could have brought tremendous progress to the country but failed..."
Supporters of Congress leader Murli Morwal staged a protest outside Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath's residence after he was denied a ticket for the upcoming State Assembly elections.
The Congress on Sunday formed the Coordination Committee for the Rajasthan assembly elections, appointing senior leader Mohan Prakash as its chairman.
The Congress also named Laxman Singh Rawat and Neeraj Dangi as conveners for the panel.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge says, "The atmosphere is in our favour. We will win all the five states. Us-5, Them-0. This is the situation today. But everyone makes an effort. They too are making efforts. I find it laughable that he (PM) went to Madhya Pradesh and said, "Vote for Modi." He didn't take the name of the party or the CM..."
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel says, "We have made three announcements, first of all, we will do a caste census. The second thing is that we will buy 20 quintals of paddy, we have made all the arrangements for it. The third thing is that we will provide houses to 17.5 lakh people... BJP has not even made one announcement..."
Rajasthan BJP workers staged a protest outside the party office in Jaipur over being 'unhappy' with the distribution of tickets for the Rajasthan Assembly elections.
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan says, "Under the leadership of PM Modi and with the support and blessings of the people, we will ensure BJP's victory. Our workers and leaders are working for this...Congress make false promises every day, Congress has not opened a shop of love but a shop of lies... the people of Madhya Pradesh will not trust them. I don't understand whose Congress is in Madhya Pradesh, Sonia Gandhi's Congress or Mallikarjun Kharge? It seems that Congress has become Kamal Nath's Congress in Madhya Pradesh. He is doing the survey. He is distributing tickets...Just as Shiv Sena was divided into two parts in Maharashtra, similarly Congress has been divided into two parts in Madhya Pradesh. Kamal Nath even destroyed the INDI alliance. Neither the alliance has any future nor the Congress has any future."

You must have seen today that the BJP's 124 candidates are participating in this democratic fight... Till now Congress has not even nominated three dozen candidates... I can assure you that Congress will be in chaos even before the three days of the elections because when there is a hole in the boat then intelligent people get out of the boat. You have seen many tall leaders of Congress getting down this boat. As the elections will come closer many Congress workers will get out of their sinking boat..."
On Rajasthan Assembly Polls, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh says, "Congress is lagging behind. Their first list came when we had released 2 lists. There is a big internal dispute in Congress. Congress will not be able to come to power in Rajasthan for the next 20-25 years. BJP will get a historic victory in Rajasthan...There is anti-incumbency in the state and Congress ministers including Speaker CP Joshi will lose the elections...''
"CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will come and make announcements. I want to ask him what has he given (to the state). He has only given inflation, unemployment and corruption," said Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath at a public rally in Gopalganj, Seoni.
"BJP has announced all the candidates (for Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls), except for two. All the candidates are good and the party workers have begun their work. There may be some differences as there are too many contenders, claiming stakes on the ticket. However, the situation is under control for BJP and we will form a government," says Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
BJP revokes the suspension of Telangana MLA T Raja Singh. He was suspended by the party in August last year and he was also booked by the Police for his alleged derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad.
Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot's OSD Lokesh Sharma says, "I have said this many times that every active worker of Congress wants to contest in the elections. I also have the same wish. Now this will be decided by the party from where they will give me the opportunity."
Dhar: On resignation after the release of Congress' candidate list for Madhya Pradesh elections, Former Congress leader Kuldeep Singh Bundela says, "I have resigned from all the positions that I held. I have decided to contest the election as an independent candidate..."
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said that so far his party has fielded three candidates in the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections. He added that more names will be announced in consultation with its state leadership. The Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad said AIMIM has entered the poll fray in Rajasthan for the first time. It has fielded candidates from the Hawa Mahal constituency in Jaipur, Fatehpur in Sikar and Kaman in Bharatpur for the November 25 polls, PTI reported.
“I am extremely disappointed that those who are completely incompetent got tickets (to contest elections), while I was denied the same. I am a tribal leader and have been working for 30 years,” says BJP leader Ranjana Baghel on not being given a ticket to contest in the MP Assembly polls.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje got the ticket to contest from the Jhalrapatan seat in the upcoming State Assembly Elections. After getting the ticket, she thanked PM Modi and JP Nadda for having faith in her, ANI reported.

As the scheduled Assembly elections in five Indian states draw closer, political parties are actively announcing their candidates for the upcoming polls. The elections will span from November 7 to November 30, with Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh all set to cast their votes.
The Congress party, on Saturday, released its first list of 33 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. Notable names in the list include Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who will be contesting from Sardarpura, and his former deputy Sachin Pilot, who will seek election from Tonk. In addition, Speaker C P Joshi will run for re-election from his Nathdwara assembly seat. Govind Singh Dotasra, the president of the party's state unit, is set to contest from Lachhmangarh. Minister Harish Chaudhary and Mamata Bhupesh have also found a place on the list and will be vying for the Baytoo and Sikrai-SC seats, respectively. However, the Congress is yet to reveal its candidates for the majority of the seats. The Central Election Committee of the party is scheduled to meet on Sunday to finalize additional names. The Rajasthan Assembly polls are slated for November 25.
On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled a fifth list featuring 92 candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. This list included the exclusion of sitting Indore-3 MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, son of the prominent party figure Kailash Vijayvargiya, who will be contesting from the Indore-1 segment. Rakesh Golu Shukla will replace Akash Vijayvargiya in the Indore-3 constituency. Shukla is the cousin of Sanjay Shukla, the Congress legislator representing Indore-1. Notably, Kailash Vijayvargiya had earlier announced that Akash Vijayvargiya had written to BJP President JP Nadda, requesting not to be considered for the ticket, as his father was already in the race. Moreover, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's nephew, Anup Mishra, was denied a ticket, seemingly putting an end to his aspirations for the Gwalior South seat.
In a further development, the Congress appointed former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and party leader M S Boseraju as special observers for the Telangana Assembly elections scheduled for November 30. Additionally, Ajoy Kumar was named AICC observer for media preparations in Telangana, Supriya Shrinate for the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, and deputy leader in Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari for Chhattisgarh.
