The polling in Shahdara constituency in the 2020 assembly elections took place on 8th February. Here, Ram Niwas Goyal is contesting on Aam Aadmi Party ticket, Sanjay Goyal is contesting on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, Dr. Narender Nath is contesting on Congress Party ticket. Voting in Shahdara Assembly was held on 8 February in which 65.78% voters exercised their vote. Here, BJP leader Ram Niwas Goyal attained 28253 votes and INC candidate Chaman Lal Yadav bagged 16086 votes 1998 Assembly Elections: In 3rd Assembly election, interesting battle was seen seen between INC and BJP. Here INC candidate defeated his BJP counterpart with a difference of 9240 votes. 2003 Assembly Elections: In 4th Assembly election, INC candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 13185 votes.
