Congress President Rahul Gandhi will file his nomination on April 10, from Amethi for the Lok Sabha election, while UPA chief Sonia Gandhi will file her nomination from Raebareli on April 11; Priyanka Gandhi is also expected to join them, sources revealed on Thursday.
Congress party's poll promise of curbing monopolies in media and ending cross-ownership of media segments is "anachronic" and aimed at restricting free journalism, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said Thursday.

The Congress on Thursday has also announced the names of two candidates for Lok Sabha polls in Gujarat, taking the total number of seats on which it has declared its candidates to 357. Earlier, sources said the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi would board a helicopter to Wayanad, about 90 km from here, to file his nomination. Tight security is in place in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts in view of the high-profile visits.
Earlier it was reported that Congress chief will embark on a massive roadshow at around 9.30 am before filing the nomination papers. However now, the time to begin the road show is under suspense.
