BJP Takes A Dig At Akhilesh Yadav Ahead Of His Holy Dip At Maha Kumbh
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav took a dip in the holy waters of the Maha Kumbh, drawing a response from the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Akhilesh Yadav at Maha Kumbh 2025: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav will take a holy dip at the Sangam in Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Sunday. However, a political battle broke out as soon as he announced his plans.
Targeting Akhilesh Yadav, the Bharatiya Janata Party's spokesperson Manish Shukla said: "We hope that after bathing in the Maha Kumbh, Akhilesh Yadav and his party members will not throw mud at Sanatan Dharm and its symbols."
"Sanatan Dharma is a tolerant religion that embraces everyone. And Maha Kumbh is a symbol of faith in Sanatan Dharm. Anyone can take a dip in the Ganga at the holy Sangam ghat during the Maha Kumbh... even if it is Akhilesh Yadav," Manish Shukla further said, taking a dig at the SP chief.
Akhilesh Yadav is likely to take the dip later today. Akhilesh Yadav will then also go to the Samajwadi Party camp and then visit the camps of the monks and seers at the Maha Kumbh.
Akhilesh Yadav had earlier taken a bath in the Ganga river in Haridwar on Makar Sankranti. After that, he said at a press conference that he would go to take a bath in the Maha Kumbh with his entire family. On the question of going to Prayagraj, he said that he would go to the Sangam when "Mother Ganga calls" him.
