Wipro on Thursday announced that its Chief financial officer (CFO) Jatin Dalal has resigned to pursue other career opportunities. The IT major appointed Aparna C Iyer as the new CFO with immediate effect. A Wipro veteran of over 21 years, Dalal in his resignation said he is "eager to pursue professional goals outside the organisation."


Newly appointed CFO Aparna Iyer has also been associated with the Bengaluru-based IT firm for over two decades. She will now be reporting to CEO Thierry Delaporte and will join the Wipro Executive Board.

  • Aparna C Iyer has been serving as the Global Corporate Treasurer for Wipro. She was responsible for managing the forex risk management framework, overseeing a significant investment book, making capital structure decisions, conducting investor outreach, and establishing the capital allocation policy, as per her LinkedIn profile. 

  • The incoming CFO has held several roles in the organisation over the years since 2003, such as Internal Audit, Business Finance, Finance Planning and Analysis, Corporate Treasury, and Investor Relations, all within the framework of Wipro.

  • Iyer held the position of Senior Vice President and CFO at Wipro’s FullStride Cloud Global Business Line.

  • The new CFO, Aparna C Iyer, is a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) and a gold medalist in the CA 2002 batch.

  • Prior to her enrollment in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Aparna pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Narsee Monjee, Mumbai.


On her appointed Wipro CEO Delaporte said, "Throughout her 20-year career with Wipro, she has been a dynamic, forward-thinking strategic partner to our business leaders. Her commitment to creating lasting value, expertise across the full spectrum of finance operations, and her experience in working with a range of stakeholders will be instrumental in achieving our financial objectives,"
