JLF 2024: Katherine Rundell, Children’s Author From UK, Rues Decline In Reading Habit Among Kids Worldwide

Children's author Dr Katherine Rundell also finds it upsetting that 800 public libraries have closed down in England, and that the government is "not choosing to invest in children’s future".

Popular and award-winning British author of children’s books, Dr Katherine Rundell, is unhappy that the reading habit among children in Great Britain, and also in the rest of the world, is declining. She blames this on social media and the smartphone, and feels it is a serious affliction that needs to be corrected globally.  Rundell was in India to attend the Jaipur Literatue Festival.
