After years of dedicated research, the nation recently celebrated a significant milestone in its seven decade old three-stage nuclear power program. On April 6th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced via social media the successful criticality of the 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor, marking a crucial advancement in the second stage of this initiative. The fuel generated from these reactors will be combined with thorium, which is abundantly found in India's extensive coastal monazite-rich
