CNG stations in Islamabad to remain shut for 10 hours a day
Pakistan [Islamabad], Dec 28 (ANI): The sale of CNG as fuel has been barred in Islamabad for 10 hours a day from Thursday onwards for the next two months.
Section 144 on all the CNG stations of Islamabad has been imposed by the administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) for the next two months.
The sale of CNG as fuel has been banned at stations from 5am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm.
The decision was taken in the backdrop of providing immediate relief to public, who are facing low pressure in the domestic natural gas supply.
The Islamabad deputy commissioner thus put a ban on over 80 CNG stations in the city, reported the Dawn.
The huge amount of CNG used as fuel causes shortage of gas for domestic use and that there is adequate ground for going ahead with the prohibition of the usage of CNG as fuel for vehicles in order to provide immediate relief to the public at large, the notification issued from the office of the district magistrate read.(ANI)
