Thar Movie on Netflix qualifies as a desi Western film

For its violence's, human massacres, horses, gun battles, arid, desolate landscape

and a stranger that brings in the havoc to a quiet border village in Rajasthan called Munabo

The central plot is quite simple of a Western like Thar

The goal of maintaining law and order, Anil Kapoor & Satish Kaushik play local policemen

who are in charge of bringing in social order. Both play their parts with restraint

that is characteristic of Western heroes

Anil Kapoor confronts his double/mirror in the villain, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor ( the outsider)

However, the film is much more about good v/s evil: the grey zones of life and human relationships
