Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan-starrer Vidaamuyarchi, which released in theatres on Thursday, Feb 6, 2025, has been doing extremely well in theatres.
The Magizh Thirumeni directorial which is the remake of the 1997 American film 'Breakdown' collected more than Rs. 60 cr in India in its first weekend.
As per film critic, Ramesh Bala, AK's Vidaamuyarchi grossed an estimated Rs. 135 cr to Rs. 140 cr at the box office worldwide.
The film has become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025 so far. Its impressing opening of Rs. 26 cr on Thursday has risen expectations despite a drop on Friday.
Vidaamuyarchi is part of the five highest-grossing Indian films of 2025, joining the ranks of 'Game Changer', 'Sky Force', 'Daaku Maharaj' and 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam'.
With no major releases until Februrary 21, 2025, Vidaamuyarchi's successful run at the theatres will continue and is espected to cross Rs. 200 cr in the week.
