Malavika Mohanan plays a key role in 'Thangalaan' as Aarathi, a predominant force that brings about a big change in the plot which revolves around Vikram.
Thangalaan is set during the British rule in India and follows the real story of the Kolar Gold Fields and its exploitation by the British empire.
Filmed on a budget of Rs. 100-Rs. 150 cr, this Chiyaan Vikram film has been in the making for many years now.
While Rashmika Mandanna was roped in to play the lead role in the film who was replaced by Malavika Mohanan due to scheduling conflicts.
