Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala made his foray into politics on Friday, by joining the Congress in Chandigarh. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka 'Sidhu Moosewala', belongs to the Moosewala village, situated in Punjab's Mansa district. The singer, widely known for his gangster raps, holds a degree in electrical engineering. Moosewala kick-started his journey as a songwriter with the track 'Licence', sung by Ninja. He rose to fame with his songs like 'So High', 'Issa Jatt', 'Tochan' and 'Dollar'. He has also ventured into acting with the film 'Moosa Jatt'. His upcoming movie titled 'Jattan Da Munda Gaun Lagya' will release next year. The singing star has made headlines for promoting violence and gun culture through some of his songs.
