Bollywood's Showman Raj Kapoor was an actor, film director and producer. The late actor was born in Peshawar to actor-director Prithviraj Kapoor. Raj Kapoor had his big break with 'Neel Kamal' in 1947, opposite Madhubala. The iconic actor is a legend. In an illustrious career spanning over two decades, he won many accolades including 3 National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards in India. He was also a two time nominee for the Palm d'Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his films 'Awaara' and 'Boot Polish'. The Bollywood star was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1971 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in1987. His iconic film 'Mera Naam Joker' is still considered as one of the best films of Bollywood.
