Vedaa addresses serious issues such as caste-based violence and societal inequality, inspired by real incidents.
The film revolves around the character Vedaa, portrayed by Sharvari Wagh, a law student with a passion for boxing, and Abhimanyu Kanwar, played by John Abraham, a court-martialed soldier.
The story follows Vedaa's happy life with her family, which takes a dark turn due to a series of events that thrusts them into turmoil, impacting her and the lives of those around her.
Zee5's official Instagram announced the film's digital release with a video clip showcasing action sequences featuring the lead actors.
Vedaa, featuring Sharvari Wagh and John Abraham, will premiere on OTT on October 10, following its theatrical release on August 15.
The film will be available for streaming on Zee5.
Upon its release, Vedaa faced tough competition from popular films like Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein.
Vedaa was directed by Nikkhil Advani and written by Aseem Arrora, with production by Umesh KR Bansal, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and John Abraham.
Alongside the leads, Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia also play important roles in the film.
