Fashion designer Rohit Bal is fighting for his life.

The designer was admitted to the intensive care unit on November 23.

Due to severe health issues, he has been in and out of the hospital several times.

Bal has won numerous accolades throughout his nearly three decades as the fashion industry's ruler.

He has been named Designer of the Year.

In the Indian Fashion Awards in 2006 as well as the International Fashion Awards in 2001 and 2004.

He was chosen Lakme Fashion Week's grand finale designer in February 2012.

Time Magazine dubbed him India's Master of Fabric and Fantasy.

Bal also dabbled in the restaurant industry, opening his first eatery, Veda, in 2005.
