Twitter CEO Elon Musk surprised everyone by replacing the blue bird logo with the 'Doge' meme

Take a look at how Musk became a staunch supporter of Dogecoin, a crypto coin inspired by the meme

Elon Musk has been a long supporter of Dogecoin. Even briefly adopting the informal nickname of “Dogefather”

On April 2, 2019, Musk first publicly showed support for Dogecoin. He tweeted, “Dogecoin might be my fav cryptocurrency. It’s pretty cool”

Since then, Musk has been constantly sharing memes and suggestions on Dogecoin

The billionaire entrepreneur has also said that DOGE will soon be supported for buying Tesla and SpaceX merchandise

However, Musk has also faced backlash for supporting the meme-inspired coin

Keith Johnson accused Musk for promoting Dogecoin, driving its price up only to then let the value tumble
