Vidya Balan said, I adore M.S. Subbulakshmi. As a child, my mother used to play her rendition of Suprabhatam first thing in the morning.
For me, M.S. Subbulakshmi is a spiritual experience. So, this has been a labor of love for me, and I feel honored to be able to pay tribute to her in this way.
The saris are marked by vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and unique draping techniques that defined the legendary singer’s identity.
M.S. Amma’s simple yet distinct jewelry, included traditional kumkumam and vibhuti on her forehead, mismatched nose rings on either side, and mallipoo (jasmine flowers) adorning her hair bun.
