Alia Bhatt was spotted at Mumbai airport early Friday morning, en route to make her much-anticipated debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
The actor kept her look effortless yet stylish—a beige trench coat, white fitted top, baggy denims, and dark aviators—turning heads as she left for the French Riviera.
Her airport appearance put an end to speculation that she might skip Cannes due to recent India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack.
Mid-day earlier reported that Alia was considering opting out of Cannes as a gesture of solidarity with India, but her travel plans indicate otherwise.
Alia took to Instagram Stories to confirm her departure, sharing a picture of her packed Gucci bag with beauty products and books, captioned “Off we go…”
Alia’s appearance at Cannes is through her association with beauty giant L'Oréal Paris, continuing the brand’s long-standing tradition of bringing Indian celebrities to the red carpet.
Alia expressed excitement about her debut: “There’s something absolutely special about firsts… It’s an honour to represent L'Oréal with this year’s theme, ‘Lights, Beauty and Action.’”
At Cannes, Alia is expected to share the spotlight with Aishwarya Rai, who is also attending the event as a L'Oréal ambassador.
The Cannes Film Festival 2025 opened on May 13, and has already made headlines with appearances by Aishwarya Rai, Aditi Rao Hydari, and other global stars.
