After a string of scandals, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday agreed to step down as Conservative Party leader The Chris Pincher scandal proved to be Johnson's undoing. Pincher was suspended from the party over sexual harassment allegations Johnson was fined for attending a birthday party held at Downing Street office and violating strict COVID-19 lockdown rules. Johnson was forced to apologise to Queen Elizabeth and was also fined by police for attending the party. Johnson's Conservatives have been hit by other scandals of lawmakers accused of sexual improprieties. Conservative lawmaker Imran Ahmad Khan resigned after being found guilty of having sexually abused a 15-year-old boy. Johnson faced corruption allegation after WhatsApp messages revealed he had asked Party donor for funds to refurbish his residence. The work cost around £200,000 ($280,000), according to British news outlets. Johnson allegedly tried to tear up rules to save a mate as he ordered to block a 30-day suspension of Owen Paterson for lobbying breaches. Johnson U-turned less than 24 hours later and Owen Paterson resigned as a Tory MP.
