Volkswagen has launched the new generation

Tiguan R-Line in India at a price-tag of Rs 48.9 lakh.

It comes to India in CBU full import form and for the first time,

the Tiguan is available here with the R-Line specification.

Inside, the new Tiguan R-Line will come with a 10.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster while the main central touchscreen unit is 12.3-inch.

The features list includes sporty performance seats which have manual adjustment but have massage function too.

Standard is a 2.0l TSI turbocharged petrol power train which develops 203hp while,

standard you have a 7-speed DSG gearbox plus all wheel drive of course.

Performance numbers include a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 229 km/h.

The R-Line specification means sportier design cues and the new Tiguan R-Line will comes with 19 inch alloys while two colours would be on offer.

Elsewhere you have two wireless charging pads including a fast charging one.

Plus you have a full panoramic sunroof, 3 zone climate control, a Heads up display, 30 colour ambient lighting, all round disc brakes, 9 airbags, Park Assist Plus and also ADAS level 2.

The Tiguan R-Line has a 5 star Ncap safety rating.

At Rs 48.9 lakh the Tiguan R-Line will have the new Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner and the Hyundai Tucson as its rivals amongst others.
