Here is a list of food items that you can include in your diet during Saawan Somwar fast.
Consuming a variety of fruits like apples, pears, pomegranates, etc. enables at low calorie intake.
Include milk, buttermilk, yoghurt, cottage cheese (paneer), homemade butter, and ghee in your diet during this time.
Opt for vegetables like sweet potato, colocasia, bottle gourd (Lauki), potato etc.
Sabudana kheer is low in calories and provides a good amount of energy.
Here are some food items that you need to avoid during Saawan Somwar fast.
Avoid all forms of grains, including rice, and lentils.
Vegetables like Onions, garlic, and radish, should be avoided.
Steer clear of hing (asafoetida), salt (except rock salt), red chilli, fenugreek, turmeric, and other seeds.
Avoid regular sugar and jaggery and use alternatives like rock sugar (mishri) if needed.
