Asha Parekh is regarded as one of Hindi cinema's finest actresses.

In a career spanning over four decades, she has worked in more than 85 films.

Asha Parekh has received several accolades including two Filmfare Awards.

In 1992, she was honoured with the Padma Shri for her contribution to the field of cinema.

She also got honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2020.

Parekh made her acting debut as a child artist with Maa (1952).

Her lead debut was with Dil Deke Dekho (1959). She went onto become a leading actress in the 1960s-70s.

Asha Parekh won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kati Patang.
