UP cabinet approves 10% reservation to economically weaker section

Uttar Pradesh cabinet approves 10% reservation given by Central Government in government jobs and education to economically weaker section in the general category.
Parliament passed the constitution amendment bill in the Winter Session, with the Modi government meeting a key demand of upper castes. 
Earlier, welcoming the passage of the bill for 10 per cent reservation for economically weaker section of the society in state jobs and educational institutions, Vajpayee termed it as a historical step aimed at achieving "true" social justice.
