Team India's opening T20 international against Sri Lanka got called off without a ball being bowled. It started raining heavily just before the 7 p.m. start and although the downpour passed away, damp patches on the pitch at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium after heavy rains saw first T20 of the three-match series get abandoned. The second T20I will take place at Indore.
