The ongoing Middle East war continues to intensify with heavy strikes and counterstrikes between Iran, the United States, and Israel. Military experts say the recent attacks on Kharg Island mark a major escalation because the island is critical to Iran’s economy, handling nearly 90% of its oil exports. According to defense analyst G. D. Bakshi, targeting Kharg Island appears to be an attempt to weaken Iran’s economic backbone. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed that American forces carried out one of the most powerful attacks in Middle East history, striking military installations on the island. Videos released by the US reportedly show multiple explosions at Iranian bases. In response, Iran has intensified its retaliation with missile strikes toward Israeli cities including Tel Aviv and attacks on energy infrastructure such as the refinery in Haifa.
