Breaking News: Iran Names Mojtaba Khamenei as New Supreme Leader Amid Ongoing War

A major development has emerged from Iran as the country has reportedly chosen Mojtaba Khamenei as its new Supreme Leader, succeeding Ali Khamenei. The announcement was made in the city of Ardabil, where senior clerics declared his name during a gathering at a mosque. Mojtaba Khamenei, a prominent Shia cleric and the son of the late leader, has now been named as his successor. Following the announcement, celebrations reportedly broke out across several Iranian cities. Supporters gathered in large numbers, set off fireworks, and chanted slogans in support of the new Supreme Leader. Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also released a statement backing Mojtaba Khamenei. The force pledged full loyalty to the new leader and said it would follow his orders while remaining ready to make any sacrifice to defend the Islamic Republic. Meanwhile, the war involving Israel, United States, and Iran continues to intensify. Due to the conflict, oil prices in the United States have surged above $100 per barrel. Donald Trump said the price rise would be temporary and predicted that oil prices would fall once the nuclear threat from Iran is eliminated.
