Sonali Phogat dies due to drug overdose - Police | Sonali Phogat Murder Case
Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat was given a drug called Methamphetamine by the accused in a Goa restaurant before her death. Goa Police gave this information on Saturday. A video has also surfaced in which the accused can be seen forcibly feeding Sonali Phogat something from a bottle. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeevba Dalvi said that the remainder of the narcotic substance Phogat was given at Anjuna's Curlies restaurant has been seized from the restaurant's washroom.
Police have so far arrested Sonali Phogat's personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan, another associate Sukhwinder Singh, restaurant owner Edwin Nunes, alleged drug smuggler Datta Prasad Gaonkar in this case. Another drug paddler Rama has also been taken into custody. Sukhwinder Singh and Sudhir Sangwan have been booked for murder while Gaonkar and Nunes have been booked under the NDPS Act.
