Zafar Islam becomes BJP candidate for UP Rajya Sabha bypoll

As a reward for bringing Jyotiraditya Scindia in Bharatiya Janata Party and pulling down Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, Zafar Islam has been named as the BJP candidate for the impending Rajya Sabha poll in Uttar Pradesh.
After the death of Amar Singh, a seat is vacant and hence elections will be taking place soon

It is expected that the victory of Zafar Islam is assured and his tenure will be of 2 years
