National Green Tribunal (NGT) has imposed a complete ban on the sale and bursting of firecrackers in Delhi NCR from midnight to 30 November, due to increasing pollution. Earlier, Kejriwal government of Delhi had put a ban on the sale of firecrackers in the state.

The level of air quality in Delhi is continuously getting worse. The AQI has exceeded 400 in most areas.
