Today, the Election Commission has announced the poll dates for 5 states which include West Bengal, Kerala, Puducherry, Assam, and Tamil Nadu. In the state of West Bengal, the elections will be held in 8 phases which Mamata Banerjee has objected to. She has raised the question on EC as why the Bengal elections are being held in 8 phases. This can be a political move, she alleged.
