On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida in the national capital for a series of bilateral meetings. According to the Prime Minister's Office, both leaders discussed measures to strengthen economic and cultural relations between the two countries. The Punjab Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, approved the filling of 25,000 positions in various state government ministries, including 10,000 in the police force, in its first decision on Saturday. Mann made the announcement in a video message after presiding over his first cabinet meeting.
