Spy Network Busted: YouTuber Jasbir Singh Arrested in Mohali for Espionage, Linked with ISI Agent Danish and Co-Accused Jyoti Malhotra

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police's Special Operation Cell has arrested YouTuber Jasbir Singh from Mohali on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Jasbir, who runs a YouTube channel named "Jan Mahal", is alleged to be part of an extensive spy network run by ISI handler Danish, who was previously declared persona non grata by India for running espionage modules through Pakistan’s High Commission.What makes the case even more serious is Jasbir’s direct connection with Jyoti Malhotra, another YouTuber already under investigation for similar charges. Both individuals reportedly travelled to Pakistan, met ISI-linked handlers, and allegedly shared sensitive information and visuals from strategic Indian locations.Police sources confirm that Jasbir was in contact with ISI operative Shakir and had visited Pakistan at least twice. The modus operandi appears highly calculated: Pakistani intelligence is believed to be recruiting Indian YouTubers and influencers, exploiting their travel freedom and public trust to gather classified intel under the guise of content creation.Investigative agencies are now probing the extent of the network and the nature of data shared. This growing use of social media influencers for espionage presents a new security challenge for India.
