SC releases interim order, 'Migrants not to pay train fare'

Supreme Court of India held a virtual hearing over the migrant labour crisis on Thursday. The court instructed that no migrant labourers should be asked to pay the fare for being transported to his or her home state via train. The apex court instructed the state government and railway to inform stranded migrants by when will they be provided a train. The court also instructed the state governments to provide food and a place to stay to the migrants till then.
