Politics: Election Buzz Intensifies Across States Ahead of Polls

Election activity is accelerating across key Indian states, with major political parties stepping up campaigns and announcements. In Tamil Nadu, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will contest 164 seats and is set to release its manifesto, launching its campaign from March 31. Meanwhile, in Assam, the Indian National Congress will unveil its manifesto, led by Mallikarjun Kharge, who will also address a rally in Lakhimpur. Amit Shah is campaigning in Assam, addressing rallies and expressing confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will secure over 90 seats for a third consecutive term. J. P. Nadda is also visiting the state for campaign events. In West Bengal, Congress plans to contest all 294 seats independently. Tensions are rising between BJP and All India Trinamool Congress, with allegations over voter lists and governance. Mamata Banerjee has accused the Election Commission of bias, while BJP leaders have countered strongly.
