POLITICAL ATTACK: Yogi Adityanath Slams Opposition, Highlights UP Welfare Schemes in Mau Rally

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the opposition during a public address in Mau, highlighting the state’s development achievements while contrasting them with what he described as past governance failures. He stated that Uttar Pradesh earlier suffered from issues such as lawlessness, riots, and frequent curfews, which, according to him, had created a negative perception of the state. He further remarked that during previous governments, particularly under Congress and Samajwadi Party rule, development was neglected, and public welfare systems failed to reach the intended beneficiaries. The Chief Minister emphasized that under the current administration, welfare schemes have been significantly expanded. He cited the distribution of free ration to millions of poor families as a key example of the government’s outreach. He alleged that in earlier regimes, ration supplies meant for the poor were often misused and did not reach deserving households. Yogi Adityanath also highlighted healthcare initiatives, mentioning that around 10 crore people in the state are receiving free medical treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme and the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. He said efforts are ongoing to further expand the coverage to ensure that every eligible citizen benefits. In addition, he referred to the state’s disaster relief mechanisms, stating that under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Bima scheme, financial assistance of ₹5 lakh is provided within 24 hours to affected farming families. He also mentioned ongoing infrastructure development, including housing projects, drinking water supply expansion, road construction, bridge building, and flood prevention measures. The speech was part of a broader political outreach campaign, where the Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to development and welfare delivery while targeting opposition parties over their past performance.
