PM Modi to Inaugurate Two-Day National Conference on District Judiciary at Bharat Mandapam

View In AppOn Saturday, August 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a two-day National Conference on District Judiciary at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi at 10 AM. The event is organized by the Supreme Court, which announced that PM Modi will also release a commemorative coin and stamp marking 75 years of the Supreme Court. The inauguration will be attended by Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and other dignitaries. The conference will feature five sessions covering topics related to district judiciary such as infrastructure, human resources, inclusive courts, judicial security, judicial welfare, case management, and judicial training. The Chief Justice of India, other Supreme Court judges, the Central Law and Justice Minister, the Attorney General of India, the Supreme Court Bar Association President, and the Chairman of the Bar Council of India will also be present. On September 1, President Droupadi Murmu will deliver the closing address and unveil the Supreme Court's flag and emblem. Over 800 participants from district judiciary across states and union territories will attend, discussing judicial security and welfare issues. In addition, PM Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat trains under the 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives. These trains will enhance connectivity on the Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru, and Chennai-Nagercoil routes. The Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat train will save about one hour compared to the fastest existing train between the two cities. The Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will reduce travel times by over two hours and around 90 minutes, respectively.
