View In AppThe National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognizance of the assault on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. NCW Chief Rekha Sharma has said that notice has been sent again to Bibhav Kumar, who assaulted Swati at the Delhi Chief Minister's residence. If he does not respond to this notice then his team will now go to his residence. She has said that she will also meet Swati personally. Rekha Sharma said, "When we saw this matter on social media, we took suo motu cognizance. I was keeping a close eye on this matter. I asked her to lodge a complaint. I think she was shocked because no one Couldn't have expected that they would be beaten like this at their leader's residence." The NCW Chief said, "She is an MP who has always raised women's issues. I told her that I am with her and you file a complaint. After thinking for a long time, she filed the complaint."
