In Nagpur, following the recent violence, the police have made significant progress in their investigation. As of now, 47 rioters have been arrested, and authorities are continuing to track down more perpetrators using CCTV footage and other technical evidence. The violence erupted across several areas, starting in Mahal, then spreading to Geetanjali and Hansapuri, where rioters caused widespread damage. Property was destroyed, vehicles were set on fire, and shops and homes were looted. In one of the most disturbing incidents, rioters attacked the home of lawyer Akash Raut in Hansapuri, damaging vehicles and throwing stones at the house. The police are working hard to understand the root cause of this unrest and why it escalated despite earlier efforts to control the situation. Tensions had been rising between two communities earlier in the day, but the violence reignited during the night. Authorities are trying to determine who incited the rioting and how it spread so rapidly. Meanwhile, 10 police stations in the region remain under curfew as authorities urge people to maintain peace. Investigations are ongoing to hold all responsible individuals accountable for this violence.
