Mumbai Fuel Shock: Petrol Near ₹107.67, Diesel Also Up by 94 Paise

Petrol and diesel prices in India have increased again, affecting major cities like Mumbai and Delhi. In Mumbai, petrol has reached around ₹107.67 per litre and diesel has also become costlier by about 94 paise. In Delhi, fuel prices have seen another rise within a few days, adding further pressure on consumers. The continuous increase in fuel prices is significantly impacting the common public, especially the middle class, with monthly transport expenses rising sharply in many households. Some people are even shifting towards public transport like metro services to manage costs. The rise is being linked to higher crude oil prices driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which are affecting global oil supply and increasing inflation concerns in India.
