At a party welcome ceremony held at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Saturday, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi openly discussed several issues and acknowledged various political developments. During his speech, Manjhi expressed gratitude to Nitish Kumar, although he noted the comment Kumar made about whether Manjhi could successfully lead the party, given his financial constraints. Manjhi reflected on the progress of his party, stating that it is now thriving and mentioned that Santosh Kumar Suman has been appointed as an MLC until 2030. Manjhi also addressed Kumar’s proposal to merge the party, revealing that after consulting with party members, it was decided not to proceed with the merger. Consequently, the party aligned with the NDA (National Democratic Alliance). Manjhi expressed his thanks to the NDA allies and highlighted that while Santosh Suman initially held one departmental ministerial position, he now oversees three departments, marking significant progress for the party.
