Jaipur School Clash: Villagers Protest CJP Visit, Allegations of Slogans and Vehicle Damage
Tensions escalated in a village near Jaipur after CJP workers arrived to inspect a school and assess its condition. Visuals from the location show angry villagers surrounding the area, while several vehicles reportedly suffered broken windows during the confrontation. The Rajasthan government had previously issued an order restricting unauthorised entry into schools, as well as photography and videography on school premises. Despite the restrictions, the CJP team arrived in the village as part of its campaign to highlight the condition of schools. Local residents opposed the visit and said they had initially tried to persuade the CJP workers to leave peacefully. According to one villager, the situation escalated when a larger group, including women, arrived later and allegedly engaged in an argument with locals. The villager claimed that some vehicles were carrying weapons, although this allegation has not been independently verified. Some villagers also accused the CJP workers of raising what they described as “anti-national” slogans. These are allegations made by local residents and have not been independently established. The villagers said they would not allow what they described as an outside political organisation to enter their area for political purposes. Residents further alleged that the CJP’s objective was political rather than improving the school. They claimed that government funding for the school had already been sanctioned and that development work would begin soon. The confrontation has resulted in allegations and counter-allegations from both sides, with questions remaining over what triggered the violence and who was responsible for the damage to vehicles. The incident has added another chapter to the ongoing political dispute over school inspections, education conditions and restrictions on entry and recording inside Rajasthan’s schools.
