In Gujarat, 21 additional fatalities have been reported due to rain-related incidents, bringing the total number of deaths in the past four days to 28. Among the deceased, 13 people drowned, 13 died due to house collapses, and two were killed by falling trees. Authorities noted that heavy rainfall continued for the fourth consecutive day in some parts of the state on Wednesday. Additionally, 17,800 people have been evacuated to safer locations from flood-affected areas. A police official reported that seven of the deceased were those who went missing after a tractor trolley was swept away while crossing a bridge near Dhwna village in Halvad taluka, Morbi district, on Sunday. The bodies of these individuals have been recovered. Despite the rainfall subsiding in Vadodara, the Vishwamitri River breached its banks, flooding residential areas with water from the river inundating buildings, streets, and vehicles.
