Ghaziabad Cash Van Robbery: Two Wanted Criminals Killed in Encounter
In a major breakthrough in the Ghaziabad ATM cash van robbery case, police killed two wanted criminals, identified as Zuber and Sameer, during an encounter. Both carried rewards of ₹1 lakh each. Police recovered ₹9 lakh from the looted amount, while two other accused managed to escape under the cover of darkness. The robbery took place on May 6 in Ghaziabad’s Crossings Republik area, where criminals looted ₹27 lakh from an ATM cash van after opening fire. Meanwhile, separate police actions were reported from Etawah and Mainpuri, where accused persons were injured during encounters. Several shocking road accidents from Mau, Mathura, and Hardoi also highlighted the dangers of speeding and traffic rule violations. In Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur, villagers alleged corruption after a newly built road reportedly started breaking apart by hand. Other incidents included a woman climbing a water tank in Pilibhit over a marriage dispute and viral videos of dangerous stunts in Bhiwandi and Turkey causing public concern.
