Economy: Domestic LPG Cylinder Price Hiked by ₹29 Across India

Domestic LPG consumers have been hit with another price increase as the cost of a 14.2 kg household gas cylinder has been raised by ₹29. In Delhi, the price has increased from ₹913 to ₹942, marking the second hike in the last three months after a ₹60 increase on March 7, 2026. The rise is being linked to ongoing conflict in West Asia, which has disrupted global energy supplies and pushed up international fuel prices. Similar increases have been announced in other major cities, with Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Patna all witnessing higher LPG rates. Officials say the changes reflect the impact of rising global energy costs on the domestic market. The repeated hikes are expected to increase the financial burden on households already coping with inflation and rising living expenses. Commercial LPG cylinder prices have also remained elevated, adding further pressure on businesses and consumers across the country as energy costs continue to climb.
